Attorney General aware of problem
In response to the latest correspondence by David Carkeet and Beth star on telework marketing allegedly made repeated appeals with reductions in interest rates, the Attorney General’s Office is aware of the problem. An investigation was launched, and efforts were being made to bring the people behind the calls.
This type of marketing recorded telephone for commercial purposes is illegal and federal law, unless the telecommunications, marketing before having registered with the Secretary of State, Vermont illegally right as well. The challenge for us in the past, was the offender: our local plaintiff of the rule of return does not exceed a phone number for us, and if they do, often, the number turns out to be separate (or was sold to other phone companies for the month of delay - but it is another matter).
None of this is now the comfort of us (we are all concerned), who face the wrath of these calls. The good news, however, is that Vermonters - as Mr. Ms. Stern and Carkeet - experienced increasingly consumer fraud and knowledge fraud for what they are, before losing money. Well, if we do that the rest of our friends and neighbours, that the offers that are too good to be true, in fact, is misleading and should be avoided.
