In addition, the EPO lack timely, complete and reliable information on businesses of thousands of requests for bankruptcy proceedings each year.

Nevertheless, EPA has helped ensure that the bankrupt financially beleaguered and other companies to fulfil their obligations to clearance by the increased use of the authorities, the GAO reports.

For example, EPA has not implemented the year 1980, a mandate under the Fund Act to require businesses, management of hazardous substances to demonstrate their ability to pay of potential ecological cleaning.

“EPO has cited competing priorities and lack of financial resources for reasons of non-implementation of this mandate, but its inaction has suspended the Superfund program to the USA and taxpayers with enormous costs of cleaning gold, lead and other mining sites and other industrial activities, such as metal plating as businesses, “the GAO reports.
